What Are Your Standard Finishes?
All our finishes are sealed with a clear polyurethane,
which protects against normal wear and tear.
Exact color will vary depending on the type of wood.

Can I Get a Custom Stain or Paint Color?
Yes. The cost is $50 per furniture item. Send us an email with the furniture you would like stained or painted a custom color and we will let you know if it can work. I.e. some wood is made from poplar so it won’t look good stained and should only be painted.

How Many People Will My Table Seat?
We typically say to allow 2′ for each chair at your table, however, it depends on the size of the chairs you plan to use. Keep in mind if you use a bench on one or both sides you will be able to fit more people. The diagram below can help get you started on deciding what length works best for you.

Picture
What Size Bench Do I Need for My Table?
If your table has four legs, a bench needs to be one foot shorter than the table to slide underneath. i.e. a 7′ bench will slide under an 8′ table. If your table has a pedestal or trestle base, a bench can be the same length as the table.

Will the Finish on My Furniture Be Rough?
No. Though we leave the natural imperfections in the wood, they are sanded smooth and coated with a water-based polyurethane to stand up to normal wear and tear.

How Long Can you Hold my Table After it is Ready for Pick Up?
If you are not having your table delivered through out white glove delivery service, we will notify you before it is ready for pickup so you can schedule a trip to our workshop. We try to be as flexible as possible as we understand life happens. Because of ever-changing space constraints, we can only hold your table for up to 3 weeks after your table is complete and pickup is scheduled.

How Do I Care for My New Furniture?
Indoor furniture requires no special care. Just wipe it down with whatever cleaner you normally use i.e. warm damp rag with soap, Clorox wipes, etc. You just want to be sure to never submerge it in water or let water stand on table for an extended period of time.

NOTE to POTENTIAL BUYERS:

  • We hand-select every single board that is put into our items.  Each board has its own natural characteristics; including, but not limited to: SPLITS, KNOTS, WOODGRAIN AND OTHER NATURAL MARKINGS. We embrace all of the wood’s natural characteristics and do not apologize for the wood’s natural flaws, instead we embrace it!
  • All of our wood is Kiln Dried by local sawmills.  We do not build our furniture with wood from Big Box stores.
  • We put countless hours and limitless effort into properly prepping and jointing the wood we use, however wood is again a NATURAL material and is constantly moving with temperature and humidity. During changing seasons the wood can contract and expand, causing slight movement and may develop small cracks and cup or bow over time. Again, we believe this only enhances the table’s rustic, and unique character.
  • We do not offer refunds or exchanges if any of these natural occurrences take place.
  • Every piece of furniture is stained and sealed in at least four coats of protective polyurethane. This protects the wood from low heat and liquids. A warm plate or coffee cup will not leave any marks on the table, however you should never place anything directly from the stove or oven on the the bare wood surface. Water marks are basically nonexistent  with properly sealed wood, however always wipe up spills as soon as possible to prevent any damage to the surface.
